Garnacha "Senda" DO Madrid 2019
This wine is a single-vineyard wine made with grapes of Garnacha more than 100 years old planted at an altitude of almost 900 meters above sea level.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and brought to the pre-mash, followed by fermentation on the grape's own yeasts and light remontage. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tank without the addition of bacteria.
The wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels and brought to bottling without fining and filtration.
Characteristics
Cherry red color with brick red reflections and a fresh and aromatic bouquet that reflects both the Garnacha grape and the terroir of the Madrid region. Perceptible are the floral notes, plum and wood and mineral nuances. It goes on to a long finish with fruity notes and woody nuances.
Pairing
Grilled red meat, stews, and semi-aged cheese.
