Priorat 2019
A blend of Grenache, Carignan, and (a touch of) merlot, the vines grow on poor slate soils called "llicorella." This type of soil barely retains nutrients and water, leading to relatively low yields and high-quality grapes. Together with the specific Mediterranean microclimate of Priorat, this red wine is unique.
Characteristics
Deep, dark purple in the glass, this wine offers delicate aromas of fresh and dark cherries and berries and subtle hints of toasted vanilla, pepper, rosemary, and cedar. Fine acidity balances a juicy mouthfeel with silky tannins, culminating in a persistent finish with rich and complex sensations.
Pairing
Roasted meat, Iberian ham, game, semi-aged cheese.
